Here are a few things to keep in mind when visiting the garden. Please park off to the left side at the top of the driveway or along Lincoln Hill rd on the south side (the side our house is on). If you are coming up Lincoln Hill from the east (Huntington side), this will require you to turn around to face you car in the right direction.
Please keep in mind we live here! Our home is located in the midst of the garden so please respect our privacy by calling ahead if you would like to visit on days when the garden is not officially open. (see “Open Garden Dates” in menu).
Our garden is not manicured. You will find some weeds, dead branches, and an occasional dead tree or two. All of this in respect to the myriad other creatures that call our garden home. As avid bird watchers, we provide what we can for habitat to encourage bio diversity and thus avian diversity, including dead trees to perch on! Un-mowed wet grass, woodland paths, steping stones and un-even ground, especially in the “Un-Attended Arboretum”, require care while walking.
If you would like to visit as a group such as a garden club or plant society, please notify us in advance so we can arrange a tour.
